The Power of Prayer
Jesus said, “My house shall be a house of prayer” (Matthew 21:13, Mark 11:17, Luke 19:45-46, Isaiah 56:7). Prayer is really about being with God and knowing Him. It is the life blood of the church and without it we are going nowhere.
In 1 Corinthians 4:20 we read ‘For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.’ As we humble ourselves the Spirit comes. We support one another in prayer and often have times of refreshing worship and waiting on Him to receive His love, joy and peace. During these times He demonstrates His power in our lives.
We are believing God for a deep move of His Spirit and that we will grow to be a place of power, healing, salvation and gifts of the Spirit as we draw near in faith.
Whether it’s private prayer or gathering together, we’re encouraged to draw near to the One who loves us, desires to strengthen us, and bless us.
We invite you to join us for our ½ nights of prayer, or in small groups or in our Sunday celebration meetings.
Prayer is the catalyst for change—for ourselves, our families, and the world around us.
Key Scriptures on Prayer:
John 14:12-14: “Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me for anything in My name, I will do it.”
John 15:7: “If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”
John 16:23-24: “Truly, truly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. Until now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.”
2 Chronicles 7:14: “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Romans 12:12: “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Matthew 21:22: “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Colossians 4:2: “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”
1 Thessalonians 5:17: “Pray without ceasing.”
Ephesians 6:18: “In all of your prayers and entreaties, pray always in the Spirit.” The Holy Spirit helps and empowers us in this choice.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-17: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
James 5:16: “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.”
1 Peter 3:12: “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
Romans 8:26-27: “Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us.”
Ephesians 5:17-20: “Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Prayer is the heartbeat of the church. We’re going nowhere without a dedicated prayer life. It’s not a duty but a privilege—a chance to align our hearts with His, to pour out our concerns, and to listen for His guidance.
Let’s make prayer a priority in our lives, and together, we’ll see God’s kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
